Jess proved to be quite an agile guy and this was demonstrated many times,  such as when he had to fight or fall from his horse. There were not many who could keep up with him - even when he was simply walking you could tell he had a very easy style of movement.

That agility came in to be very useful when he had to get up and down from his horse so many times. And he had a unique style which we have called his

“Skip Mount”

This was a manoeuvre he regularly used to get up onto his horse Hoot.

While other Cowboy stars could do the “Skip Mount” nobody made it look as easy as Jess Harper.
