The National Festival Of the West was the brainchild of Mary Brown. She turned her idea into one of the biggest and most successful western festivals ever produced. It ran for over 20 years and was host to the finest TV western stars in the history of the genre.
She is now friends with many of those stars, and was a very close friend of one of the stars of Laramie, John Smith. John was in fact Mary’s inspiration to start the festival.
